Need a second opinion

Hi there Everyone,

I need a second opinion on something.

Lately I've been having trouble with my pouch. It tends to get very nauseated (nothing really new here. I've had nausea off and on since surgery) but now the nausea turns to excrutiating pain. It knocked me flat on my butt on Saturday and now again today.

I've been taking Prevacid for the nausea and it works, but now I have to add 3 Tylenol #1 or a Torodol to it to control the pain. I'm starting to think ULCER but don't know enough about it...

I hate going to our little hospital cuz they would rather label you with a diagnosis but not to bother to confirm it. Two years ago, I went to the hospital with an inability to breathe properly. The doc looked at me for about 10 seconds and told me that I was catching the flu and to go home and drink Honey to loosen up my chest. At that time, I was very diabetic and he didn't think it was a problem. Two days later, I'm being taken to the U of A in an ambulance. I had two blood clots in my lungs!!! and they sent me home to drink honey... sheesh...

My family doctor is very good, but in our little hospital, you cannot choose which doctor you see..

I'm a little worried about this... I should call WW to bug them... ???

Any thought or ideas??

And do not take toradol if you suspect an ulcer. The WW gastroenterologist (Dr Robbins) told me it is very hard on the stomach and a common ulcer culprit.

I did call Weight Wise. The nurse made me an appointment with the surgeon for first thing this morning at the outpatients at the Alex. I just got out of there.

He suspects that I have a stricture in the lower stoma of my pouch. I have to go for an endoscopy in a few days. He says that an ulcer will burn when I eat... but the instant excruitiating pain is caused by food getting stuck in the bottom stoma.

This was definately a real eye opener for me... I'm six months post op and this happens??? oh well.. it definately could have been worse.

I appreciate all of your help... I have to admit that this scared the sh** out of me... lol..
