What a week....

So guys I've had the week from hell.
Sunday night just after midnight I awoke to terrible tummy pains and then vomiting and Diarrhea. I seriously was in the bathroom every 5 minutes all night long. I know too much info..Finally at 8 a.m. I got in the shower and got myself together and went into the Emergency room at my local hospital.
I was taking in right away and accessed to either (1) I was having a gall bladder attack or (2) Gastroenteritis. They gave me a high dose or morphine and gravol and ran some blood work. I felt wonderful while the morphine was doing it's job but once it wore off I was begging for more. After just 8 short hours of vomiting/diarrhea I was dehydrated and had to have an i.v. placed. So the whole day I was in a room in emerg being observed, by that night I though oh maybe I could go home even though I still was very ill feeling but Nope my blood pressure was too low so I had to stay the night and then Tuesday morning I was admitted to the ward. More test and blood work ran for gall bladder or to see if it was maybe a virus. I was producing an abnormally large amount of bile so that was a concern. So from then until yesterday it was i.v. fluids and ice chips. Finally last evening the diarrhea stopped and I was able to get my i.v. out and have some tomato soup and dry crackers. My sleeve didn't like the food too much and today I have great restriction, 2 tsp of scrambled egg and I was so full I had the hiccups.
Anyway I'm home and exhausted. So glad to be sleeping in my own bed tonight. On the up side of all this illness I've lost 7.8 pounds since Monday. Just hoping that it'll stay off now that I can eat. Oh also still not sure exactly what happened, we're still waiting for test results.

OH DEAR!

My goodness...you know, there is a really bad vomit/diahrrhea flu going around.  It comes on suddenly and leaves after about three days and leaves people weak weak weak.  I hope that was all it was for you and nothing more serious.

I hope your gall bladder is fine, and I'm SO glad you're home and got good medical care!

When will you get test results? I sincerely hope it was nothing too serious... feel better soon though!

Wow that is scary!  Please keep us up-to-date.  Did you call the Clinic & let them know?  They will probably want to see you.

Thanks guys for your concern. I am starting to feel better. Still feeling super fatigued but coming around.

Katrina, I have my appointments tomorrow at the clinic so I'll be telling them about it.
