I may have missed an appointment here or there, but that's it basically. Remember, it will vary widely for everyone depending on so many things - your own health, where you live, etc. Try to do the journalling and attend the modules. I think I was asked at every appointment about those - shows that we're sincere about making a change.
Good luck all!

This list is interesting! My sister in law is from the States, she said all these appointments would cost a fortune down there, even with insurance.
This is kind of similar to my list of appointments- I didn't need a CPAP machine.
Good luck with your surgery Anukis!

Surgery VSG Oct.8 2010. 23pds lost pre-op. I am 5'6" tall. Feeling amazing!
I can't remember all of my appointments but that sounds about right. I also didn't have to get a c-pap machine.
Also, a warning about surgery dates. It varies for everyone. I had my surgery within 2.5 months of approval and another person was approved on the exact same day as me and had their surgery 5.5 months after approval with the same surgeon. I know others have waited 5 months already and are being told not until April..so that is 6 or 7 months.

My referral from my Family Doctor was send in April of 2008
First initial Module to consent to participation in Weight Wise was April of 2009
First Appointments in the clinic was July of 2009
Follow up appts September, November, February, April with Nurse, Dietitian and Psychology.
Approved by Dr Sharma to see the surgeon in April of 2010
Approved for surgery July 2010
Pre-Op and Post-Op class in August 2010
Surgery was September 2010
In between this time I needed to see Dr Sebastien for a sleep study which came back fine and other than that I have a bone density with body composition done.
I was one of the lucky ones who didn't have to do a pre-op liquid diet.
4.5 months later and I feel blessed to have had the change to do the Weight Wise program and have the gastric sleeve surgery done.
