8 lbs
me, I lost huge the first month same as you and then hit a stall for a few weeks. Gaining and losing the same few pounds. Then it moved again slowly. After the intial lose I was told the body needs to stabilize itself which makes sense. I lost inches even though I didn't lose pounds.
Don't get to discouraged it will change again for you.

That's what exactly happened to me also, I have talked to the dietician many times and she states all is ok. Just make sure your drinking all your water and getting in all your protein. She said if you do these two things then the wgt will come off. Don't worry about eating anything except your protein first then anything else if you still have room in your calorie count. We should be at 800 calories per day by now.. Keep a positive attitude and it will come trust me I know its easier said than done. I have gained and lost the last 3 lbs for the last 5wks.
Thanks guys, good to hear, none the less frustrating!
I do get my protien in I have no trouble eating anything and everything, and fluids, 30 mins a day on treadmill and one hr a week aquasize.
I am getting about 1000 cals a day to get protien in. I felt like maybe i'm eating too much and ready to starve myself and not eat a thing!! I want this to work!! I don't want to be here anymore!!!
Patience........... :(

I'm a little concerned that I've only lost about 15lbs and I'm 3 weeks in. Most of it came off the first week home.
I keep thinking that maybe I'm not exercising enough...but I don't have the energy to do much and my incisions still hurt like the dickens if I move around too much. I don't see the surgeon until Monday.
I like your 25 lbs! I think your 8 lbs is great too. I do hear alot about a 3 week stall or a 5 week stall. So maybe we're both adjusting.
Keep up your good work!

You can either believe it will happen.....or believe it won't. Both are self fulfilled prophesies. For Me it has happened. My Surgery was September 21/2010
Sounds like you are in a bit of a stall! I had the VSG, with a stall in the third month for two weeks, and then a stall just recently, the last week and a half.
They are really difficult because I know myself, I had a fear that the sugery was not working. But it goes in waves, and the body adjusts and then begins to lose weight again.
Good luck!
