Lethbridge

Would anyone like to get together in Lethbridge for us Southern People? I'm an hour away but go there all the time.. I wonder if we contacted the hospital there if their nutritionist would hold a meeting? I have no idea how it works but I am very jealous of the Edmonton group that gets regular support :(

I say go for it!! Honestly, I LOVE our Edmonton support group. And some of us get together at different times, just to hang out and watch a movie or whatever. Use whatever support you can get!

Edmonton is having a support group meeting on Monday, February 7 at 5:30.  It usually goes until about 8 - 8:30.  The meeting will be held in the Jean Hamiliton Room of the Community Services building at the Royal Alex Hospital.  Hope to see you there!

Thank you for the invite, I maybe should have explained myself better.My surgery was not completed in Canada , I have it done in Mexico.  I had previously been intouch with someone regarding support and they said it was only for individuals who had it in Edmonton.  If this is an open session I would love to attend.

Calli...nope.  It isn't a closed group.  Maybe who ever you were talking to was referring to the support groups for emtional eating that are through the weight wise clinic and those are only through referral.

Feel free to come!  I know most people are from the clinic, but all are welcome!

I plan on being at the support meeting however I am waiting to hear on an interview.  I have been unemployed since April and soooo need to land this job..lol   If I get finished I will be there if not would it be possible to inform me of the next one.  Are they always athe the same location? How many attend?

 Lethbridge is too far away for me, but I would love to be able to attend some for of support group. Where are you at? I'm in Drumheller. Maybe we could come up with a more centralized location??

I am also in Lethbridge and would love to get together with anyone pre or post surgery. I had my surgery 3 years ago and have struggled to maintain weight loss, especially with feeling isolated from a local suport system that understands  where I"ve come from and where I'm at. Looking forward to hearing from anyone who would like to get together!

Hello, Im new here and am looking for a support group, I just started a bariatric  program from RedDeer,, But I live in Lethbbridge
