I'm not dead- just a big whiney loser!
Hi Everyone
Merry New Year and I hope the tooth fairy was good to you!
Sorry I have been so quiet lately. I'm here, I'm reading and I'm doing the work. I'm just waiting for the call and I really haven't had a lot to say as of late because I have been so focused on the waiting on the call- I stopped celebrating my little victories.
So here is a count down of awesome things that have nothing to do with waiting for surgery:
1- I tried on the pj pants that I got last year for xmas that were WAY too small (you know the ones- satiny fabric on the one side, fuzzy fabric on the inside, absolutely no give whatsoever, so if you manage to cram your too big behind into them you look like a two legged sausage casing!) and guess what! TOO BIG! Not just a little too big, but sliding off the hips, need the drawstring too big!
2- AS of this morning 198.6 lbs! I have the flu and so this is likely not a true representation of my weight, but fact is- I haven't seen a number like that since 2007. TAKING IT!
3- I got a Bench hoodie for Christmas- size L. CRINGE! But, it fits! Maybe not as well as it will in 5 lbs lost, but I still managed to pull it over my head, boobs, stomach and hips and was not able to count stretchmarks on my tummy through it. We'll call that a victory.
4- I got a Xbox Kinect for Xmas and it takes your photo doing the challenges. I was next to my teeny-weeny sister in a photo and I thought "Wow! Not too bad!"
So- those are my four victories that I am celebrating as of this moment. What are yours?

Hey lady!
That's awesome, the things you have accomplished while waiting...
I remember the long wait - you will get the call soon, and this will be a really amazing year for you.
For me? I just shovelled a TONNE of snow and felt energetic after. I am noticing how much easier it is to do physical things - dancing at parties, walking up stairs etc.
So much less joint pain.
Also I think my hormones are more regulated with the weight loss. My skin is better and I just feel more even, less emotional extremes. These are health things but really I am so greatful for them.
Hang in there!! It sounds like you're making the best of the time you have before the surgery.
