1 week to go....
I'm getting so excited I have surgery in 7days next wednesday in Red Deer with Dr. Farries......I have no special diet to follow just the day before colon clean out prep the day defore. I'm packed ( eager beaver) and I am ready for it to be the 12th!! I almost feel like I was in warp speed all of december but know things have gone into slow motion!! I have so much to do over the weekend( clean house, stock the pantry and fridge, laundry etc.) But i REALLY am ready to get this done with so I can move on and start enjoying the benefits of all my hard work and pateinces!! Anyone else get the pre-op jitters or mood swings( I have a few of those too over the last couple of days). Just keeping as busy as I can, Monday is my last day at work for 3 weeks so I am getting things ready for my absence there too. I think I am going to have a bubble bath everynight this week cause I will miss them so much afterwards...they are my way of relaxin after a long stressfull day. I imagin it will be showers only for a few weeks after surgery.
Well have a good day everyone:)

So exciting! Sounds like you have a very busy week ahead so hopefully time flies for you. I have surgery on the 19th in Med Hat with Dr Nohr. I am glad to hear that someone else is also suffering from the mood swings. Feels like I am on a roller coaster of emotions. I am also so scared of catching cold or something before hand.
Good luck with your surgery can't wait to hear how it went! :)
Good Luck and soon you'll be on the Losers bench.

You can either believe it will happen.....or believe it won't. Both are self fulfilled prophesies. For Me it has happened. My Surgery was September 21/2010
Good luck to all my fellow January wls patients. I can't wait to read all of your follow ups...especially because you are all before me lol.
Thanks guys for the support, I am soooooooooooooooo looking forward to the looser bench!! Ya'll better make room cause I'm running for it..LOL!!
I found all of the hospital staff very kind and great... much better than my over active imagination was picturing. I lowered the bed I slept in once I got home to make it easier to get in and out of the first week.
Now I am feeling just fine, sleep on my tummy all the time and active in the day, and back to enjoying swimming and baths in just a few short months now that I am all healed.
The time flies by and soon you will be amazed at your progress!
