Hi Everyone,

I have recently decided to undergo weight loss surgery with Dr Pompa, in TJ, Mexico.  I am super excited to change my life but we wondering if anyone had used her as a surgeon?  If so, can you please tell me a little about your experience?  Complications?  Step-by-step proceeding of the surgery?  After care once you returned home by your family physician?  Would you recommend going alone for the surgery? (My husband isnt 100% supportive of me getting this done simply because he thinks I can loose weight with more exercise and he also feels I am fine the size I am right now).

I am using Weight Loss Forever, from Sask, to help me organize this surgery.  Again, has anyone had dealings with this company?  If so, what is your opinion?

I guess overall my decision is made to go ahead with the procedure however I am fearful that I may be making a mistake if I become extremely sick afterwards.

Thank you for any assistance!

Sorry, I'm not able to help you. I know most of us (not all) on this form (Alberta) had our surgeries done in Alberta. But there are a few that went out of province and out of country. There are probably a few more that are lurkers that can help you. Good luck!

Your best option is to post on the Mexico forum or the forum for the surgery you are choosing to have. I've seen and read many post about having surgery in Mexico, some good post and some bad but in the end no matter where you have surgery you can have a good or bad experience.
Good Luck and oh my hubby wasn't totally on board either and he loves me for me but now that he See's the positive changes in me and our relationship everything is fine.

Kee.
