Yes it is.

In December 2008 I went to the Orientation/Introduction to the WW clinic.  In February 2009 I had my first set of appointments with the clinic.  In February 2010 I met with the Surgeon for the first time.  In April 2010 I was approved for surgery. On June 15th, 2010 I had my RNY surgery.  So for me it was a year & a half from orientation to surgery.  Please keep in mind that everyones process is different. There were things that complicated my process & extended my time-line.

 

Thanks for the information.  I have second Dr's app't on Tuesday, and OT group.  Going to see if I can get in to see my nurse too, hopefully there is a cancellation, and save me an extra trip.  I am sure like everyone else it feels like you are running on a tredmill going the other directions, and your not getting any where very fast!! LOL oh well it tooke me 15 years to get this heavy!

Yes the process can be frustrating & slow at times.  There were times I thought my mind would explodes from over thinking.  LOL.  The team at the WW clinic are really good at what they do.  They know what works & what doesn't, listen to them, take notes.  They know you have food issues or you would not be there.  They want you to be successful so be honest.  It is my experience that you don't have to be perfect you just have to show improvement.  Make sure that everyone knows that you are from out of town & that you would prefer to have all of your appointments on the same day.  My dietitian, who is not there anymore , would even do scheduled over the phone appointments with me. 

I LOVE the Weight Wise Clinic & I feel extremely lucky to be a part of it.
