overwhelmed

So I have had my Dr's visit, nurses visit, diatician visit, and going for body scan this week.  Next week OT group, Dr., and then psychiatrist.  I didn't think I was in that rough of shape but man, with all these app'ts I am getting overwhelmed.

Did anyone else feel overwhelmed with the appointments?  I don't think it is only me that has to do this, but maybe I am wrong.

They stopped me from rebooking cause I have had to reschedule too many times.  I don't expect special treatment but I am not going to drive 2.5 hours for an appointment in snow storms.  Thank goodness for Sue (nurse) who understood completely.  Trying to schedule a little better now, all in a day or two so I can get it all done.

Well hope all goes well the next couple weeks.  Hope everyone else is doing well and enjoyed their Christmas season.

yep i was overwhelmed also... you just speak up for yourself and have all of your appts on the same day...that is what i did ... had to wait longer to get all of them on the one day..but it sure saves on gas, time off work and such...good job for almost being there..sue is my nurse also... tammy

I also live 2.5 hours away from the city so I asked for all my appointments to be the same day. Sometimes they couldn't be in the beginning so I would spend the night in with a friend but thankfully Eva and Kim are awesome at squeezing me in.
Don't' fret over all the appointment everyone under the new program has to go through it. I use to also do a module when I was in for appointments so I'd be there the whole day which gets tiring. The program is so amazing and time passes so quick that eventually you'll look back and wonder where the time has went. I love Weight Wise and I love my sleeve.
Just curious how far into the program are you?

Kee.

what made you go with the sleeve rather than bypass?  I am doing research and trying to make sure I have all the information, I am kind of spooked with stories of people become malnutricianed after bypass surgery.  Just want to make sure i make the right decision.

I started with my inicial assessment in November, was supposed to be in January but I called one morning and they had a cancellation.  I went through a rough patch with my marriage and work, but made some changes and feeling pretty damn good about it now.  So now I am gettting back into the appointments, and feeling good about it.  But wow, talk about intense!!

I am looking forward to my knew life that I have started, with healthier and lighter body!  Looking forward to the changes!!

Hi,

I live 3 hours away & I also had a lot of appointments.  I found that the ladies at the front desk at WW were really helpful with trying there best to schedule my appointments on the same day.  For me that did mean that I often had a longer wait between appointments but it helped to do way less driving.

Good Luck, try not to be overwhelmed.  I thought the process was going to go on forever & that I would never get surgery but here I am 6 months post op & so happy.

How long did it take from Initial Assessment to surgery date?  Just curious, I know eveyrone is different, but I have no idea of an even possible time line.

Well I am trying to not get overwhelmed.  I have two days of appointments and a job interview next week.  Hopeing all falls into place nicely.  I am feeling pretty good about things, been to Curves 3 days last week (signed up on Wednesday), and just did 1/2 hour on my eleptical trainer as Curves is closed for the weekend.  I am not sure but I feel like my clothes are looser already and hoping I can go in with a loss of weight.   Want to make sure if I do do the surgery that I am ready for it and that it will be successful!!

Thanks for all the support.  I am seeing the doctor again on Tuesday, this is the second appt with her.  We will see what the topic is this time!!

Since I've started the clinic in July of 09 the criteria and programs has changed but I was 14 months from my first assessment until surgery. My program was a estimate 9 month program and within the 9 month I knew that I was approved for surgery.

I only seen Dr Sharma in the beginning and then again around the 8th month mark and he approved me to move on and talk to a surgeon about the surgery. I did however see the nurse, nut, and phyc about every 6-8 weeks. I loved my appointments and still do.

Good Luck.
