What kind of vitamins does everyone take post-op?

2 CHEWABLE MULTIVITAMINS
1200-1500MG OF LIQUID CALCIUM CITRATE WITH VITAMIN D

when your comfortable with pills they recomend a prenatal vitamin
and the calcium citrate with D in pill form

that is all they recommend until you have your first blood tests, if your deficient in anything else they will recommend at that time.
Did you not go through it all at a meeting with the dietician?
She will also come to the hospital and go over it with you again.

I did go through the meeting with the dietician and I have my notes at home somewhere but I wasnt able to find them. Im glad that they will come and go over everything again.

How are you feeling? Is everything going smoothly?

I take a prenatal, calcium citrate - I was able to find it in pill form but they are just so bg that I perfer the liquid form, and Vit D. I also take Biotin for my hair as it was falling out really badly for a while there but it seems to settle down now.

Ive done a fair amount of reading on hair loss after the surgery and it seems to really vary from person to person. Is Biotin something you started taking right after surgery ? Ive also heard that it increases hair growth everywhere?

I started taking it when someone recommended it for me. So after my hair started to come out. I let my doctor know and he said, it couldn't hurt me. And no, I haven't noticed or seen any extra hair growth anywhere else.

Hello justteena. The vitamins I take in post-op surgery (I had the VSG) is: 1-Vitamin B-12 500 mcg tablet a day,: 2-Flintstones Complete Children's Multivitamin/Multimineral Chewable Tablets a day. I am doing well with them. I hope this helps you out.

My Nutritionist recommended:
1 pre-natal vitamin to be started on week 3
1200mg of Liquid Calcium Citrate taken over 3 doses cause our bodies won't absorb a high dose at once.
Vitamin D 2000iu's a day taken morning and night.
I also take 2000 mg of Biotin daily.

Again I think it varies from Clinic to Clinic and to the type of surgery you have. I'm a sleeve patient.
