Hyperventilating here!!

 Oh my Goodness, after waiting for over 3 years for an appointment and getting a surgery date of April 2012 I got a phone call today from Dr. Nohr's office. They were trying to fill a cancellation and I got the call!!! My surgery date is now January 17, 2011!!!! I am so darn excited I can barely breathe. I am also seriously nervous! This is so huge to be facing it now when I thought it was still over a year out. Christmas came early to me this year and I am excited to share my news with a group who understands what I'm going through. I feel I have a reason to post more frequently now so I'm sure you all will see me on the board more.

Right on Melissa!!!! I'm sooooo happy for you!

My consult date wasn't to be until I think January 26, 2011..... and I had my consult June 2, 2009, and surgery March 29th this year!!!! :-)

You're going to be on pins and needles waiting for your new date to come. You'll do fine though. You're in GREAT hands! Dr Nohr is an incredible surgeon.

Congratulations Melissa!  It is so exciting and very overwhelming.  Three weeks ago I got a call because Dr Nohr has added surgery days.  Originally I was scheduled for Oct 2012 and was booked in to a new date of January 19, 2011.  It has been a roller coaster ride of emotions let me tell you!! I thought I was going to pass out on the phone when they told me the new date.

Maybe I will get a call because right now I am booked for surgery December 2012.  I hope so.  I can just imagine how you are feeling.  Excited but scared too.  All will work out great!

Are you both getting lap done or open?

Also, while waiting for your surgery, do you still phone in to Dr. Nohr's office on a regular basis just to check in?  At my consult Dr. Nohr told me I could call in every few weeks.  But I don't want to be a nuisance.

 Gizzy's i'm sure you will get a phone call before too long! I'm getting the open done, as the wait time for lap added another year. It's really sad that is the choice because I would really have prefered a lap surgery, but, I'll take what I can get. I won't phone to check in now that my date is next month. I did phone in monthlyish. I last phoned last week! They will tell you the same thing, the list is moving and they are taking people in order. That's clearly not true though as  ShawnaB1  had a surgery date many months after mine and she's now two days after me. I'd keep calling and make sure you are on a cancellation list. Just inquire if there is any movement on the list. Are you on the cancellation list?
