Halfway to my goal!
Thanks to everyone on the AB forum for your support and knowledge so far!! I really appreciate it.
I am pretty excited about this! Here's what I have noticed so far:
I am about 3 sizes smaller (22 to a 16) and a total of 32 inches smaller all over!
Most of my knee and lower back pain has improved significantly.
I can cross my legs! I do this all the time at work and sit there pleased a*****h.
I am feeling less despondent, more hopeful, generally happier, and more energy.
My blood pressure dropped from dangerously high to normal.
I am beginning to exercise and tone, and finding things much easier physically.
I am getting some nice compliments, most not specific to weight loss but just that I look great etc. The funniest one so far I mentioned earlier still stands - someone thought my nose looked bigger. I think my cheeks are a lot smaller ;)
I have never in my life been able to lose a significant amount of weight, so for me this is just the most incredible thing.
I am able to eat almost anything - including, as I recently discovered, chocolate… so I am trying to focus on feeding my body high quality things. As everyone says, I am now in the phase where I am learning it is a tool to be managed.

Surgery VSG Oct.8 2010. 23pds lost pre-op. I am 5'6" tall. Feeling amazing!
Congrats on all the NSV, isn't it just amazing to be able to cross our legs and be comfortable all at the same time. I too can cross mine to the left or right, feels wonderful.
Also thanks so much for sharing your experience. I'm almost 3 months out and I get more excited as the time goes by cause I know there are even more changes to come.
Kee.
