Got home yesterday!
Hi everyone,
I got home yesterday and if you'd have told me I'd be feeling this good 3 days post op I wouldn't have believed it!
My original surgery time was 1 PM but ended up being bumped up to 9:20 because the OR schedule had been rearranged. I got there for 6:20 and the first surgery was a no-show so I actually got in at 8 AM. I had literally no time to panic and the OR team were all really nice, pleasant and made me feel as relaxed as I could.
All of a sudden it was over and i was back in my room. I didn't get up and walk as quickly as perhaps I should have but i haven't had much trouble with the gas other than being really burpy.
I'm sure it's been stated many times but I'd like to add that the WORST part was the swallow test on the morning after surgery day. I couldn't handle the stuff and ended up vomiting and dry heaving for quite a while. That was the worst part of the whole experience.
I'm done, I'm happy and am looking forward to the next chapters of my life. This was a doozy but I'm feeling so good that I can't complain too much.
Take care everyone!
Rosemary

Welcome to the Loser's Bench. Isn't it quite the ride to get here but an enjoyable ride at that. I wish you all the best and a speedy recovery. At 10 weeks out I feel wonderful and haven't had a moment of regret.
