Hi All!

So the boards (Alberta forum) has been SUPER quiet lately.  Where is everyone?  How are you all doing?  Any thing new going on?

I've noticed how quiet it is too....not much happening.  I think that now  winter ha**** us, we are all hibernating...at least I know I am... :)

Unfortunately I am not able to make it to the meeting / party on the 4th, but will be rareing to go come the new year....I'm going to do my very best to at least stay on "hold" until the end of the year...I'm not going to put an expectation to lose any weight, but if I can not gain...that will be huge... :)

I suspect December wil fly by....

Why would you want to hibernate? It isn't like it is cold or anything!

I agree, December is going to fly by and next thing we know, it will be the new year. I have a personal weight loss goal for the New Year...okay, actually it is more of a size goal, not an actual weight. But we'll see how it goes.

Yeah, I have Darion (the non-verbal 9 y/o that I watch) on Saturday, so I am not planning on going to the party either.

How's hooping going though?

Hi everyone,
I'm doing well... been a bit busy. I went to a funeral this week which was difficult - travelling etc. made it harder to eat properly, get in the water and vitamins.

I have lots of work events for Christmas - two last week, two this week and two the week after. Then there are three family related events. I am trying to plan ahead for these, and figure out ways to distract people from making a big deal of the fact that I will not be eating much, and not having anything to drink.

At the last event I ordered half water, half cranberry juice on ice, and carried it around for about 3 hours. Nobody seemed to notice. Mission accomplished! If I am empty handed people buy me drinks.

This week it seems like my weight loss is at a stall - probably from the stress of the funeral and eating my meals in restaurants, even in small amounts they sneak the calories in there somehow.

I am really noticing my clothes are fitting better... and have caught a vision of my shape in the windows of buildings, and must say I am starting to see the changes myself.
Feeling much better while walking up many flights of stairs, and the joint pain is receding significantly. This is making me feel more happy!

Hope you are all doing well and not stressed about the holidays. This time last year I was very anxious about gaining weight over the holidays, and this year I am feeling so much better - hopeful, positive!

I have been super busy!!!  Extra shifts, house cleaning/decorating, my hubby is now a town councillor and with that is added responsibilty on me to pick up some of his jobs around the house, trying to help my daughter succeed in school and Christmas being just around the corner...It has been crazy busy let me tell you!  I lurk sometimes but don't always reply.  Sorry!  Still adore this site tho!  Take care all!

Wow! Sounds like everyone has been pretty busy!

Mtrai, I actually just want to skip Christmas this year. For thanksgiving I was in vancouver and we kind of just did a restraunt deal, so I skipped the big to do there which suited me just fine as I'm not too sure how I would do around so much food. A lot of the time, when I see a ton of food around, I just feel sick...so sick. So I am scared to see what Christmas will bring.

Hello everyone, It been busy for me too!! So many things going this month. I think I have double booked every weekend this month with parties and Family get togethers...lol Christmas is such a crazy time in our house hold. Hubby is extra busy at work so that leaves more for me to do...Taxi Mom is my name right now...lol

I'm excited for the Big Christmas party this weekend when I get to where my new dress...yipeeee!!

As far as I am concerned Christmas can just fly right on by cause I am scheduled for my surgery on the Jan 12 so the faster this month goes by the better for me!!

I hope everyone has a safe and happy Holiday Season.
