I am from Lethbridge and have RNY-lap surgery booked for December 2012 with Dr. Nohr in Medicine Hat.  I had my consult with Dr. Nohr in April 2010.  It's a long wait forsure.  I have joined this message board  to gather information and read other peoples experiences with Dr. Nohr and with the RNY surgery and weight loss in general.  Support is a good thing in all stages of this journey.

Mine is January 2011. I'd be happy to share with you. Next time Dr Nohr is a speaker at our support group I'll let you know, maybe you can make it. I'm from Medicine Hat and I also had a long wait. Referal in 2008, consult January 2010 and surgery January 2011.

That would be great.  I definately welcome your input and information.  My consult with Dr. Nohr happened relatively quickly after my referral - maybe 8 months.  Since I was able to go the lap route, I was told the wait would be a little longer.  Did your date move up at all from when you were first booked?  I am on the cancellation list and hope that I will get in earlier.  I was told that cancellations are a lot rarer for laps.
