Good Blogs
quite some time ago I read a blog with lots of details of everything, from the moment you arrive at the hopital..and every thing thereafter...
Does anyone know who tha blog belongs too? I believe she was a MED HAT but could be wrong..
A friend of mine has had her period since her surgery in may!!! anyone else have such an issue?

Was it my blog perhaps?
As for the period, mine has been all over the place since surgery. I was spotting continuously and not getting any 'heavy' days, just constantly spotting.
It has since normalized a bit at 14 months post-op. My Doc has done numerous tests including a pelvic MRI just to make sure that there isn't something seriously wrong. I've always had bizarre periods, but never that constant nagging spotting.
It's getting better now, but still not close to being 'normal'.

doesn't that seem weird? this surgery has nothing to so with the uterus! I've heard of people not having a period due to a significant weight loss or increase for that matter.. well i guess it affects many areas of your bodies system so i shouldn't have been surprised i guess.
She gave me many scary details of the time in the hospital too and humiliating cir****tances.. But I am trying to keep my eye on the prize not the sacrifices I'll have to make in the meantime.

not to sure about the blog, but I can also answer the period thing.
I got my period during my second surgery, and then never had it again for over three months. I was getting quite regular since I started losing weight so I was getting a little concerned. I talked to Dr. Birch and he said there was no reason why I shouldn't get getting my period and for me to make an appointment to see my GP.
Right before I got in to see my GP, it came. But light and lasted 3 days. I was normally an over 7 days person. Anyway, my GP said that with the changes in my body, it is normal for it to take a bit (like months) for my body to readjust.

I am like a clock. I was 40 days at my heaviest, ande now I am 28 bang on. It does change with weight loss and the changes in your body. As you lose things work more efficiently. I would say that seeing your GP or GYN is a great idea just to be sure, but chances are they will chalk it up to the weight drop:) as for the blogs I'm really sorry, but I have no idea:(
