Looking for a Support Buddy in Calgary

 hello. sorry for the delay in getting back to you....life is a bit hectic!  

That's so exciting that you had your surgery!  How are you feeling? Hope everything went well for you! I had lapband done here in Calgary on the 10th of february and am feeling pretty good ... other than a bladder infection and a nasty cold I just got a couple of days ago.  I had lost alot of weight just after surgery (mostly due to not being able to eat!) but now i am all healed up and can eat almost anything now and so I have gained a few pounds back ... a little frustrating! They said to expect that because the first fill on the lapband is not until about 6 weeks post-surgery.  I knew this would be the case but it is still a little frustrating. I get my first lapband fill at the end of march and so I am going ot have to work hard to not gain anymore weight back. Sometimes I wonder if another procedure might have been a  better one for me!! oh well, it's done now and I am going to do my best to get on the right road with losing weight.

A few of us had talked on here about getting together but it hasn't happened yet.  I guess one of us should just take initiative and get things going. Some support would be really helpful for me ( and likely for all of us!).  When are you available? Are you feeling up to meeting at a starbucks sometime?  I am in the nw ...dalhousie? Where in the nw do you live?

Maybe we could get things rolling? Having some support would be great!

By the way ... I  was just wondering what your name is?

 HI Sujata!  I am actually tied up over the next few days  and so I would have to do something next week sometime.  I am pretty flexible.  I am available during the daytime hours but I 'm not sure about anyone else. Maybe we could set up a time and place and whoever could come  would be great and then we can try another time when maybe more people could come. 

I was thinking the starbucks in Brentwood Mall is pretty good sized and fairly central to the NW ....maybe that would be good place to meet next week sometime?

Next week Monday anytime after 9am or Thursday after 2pm would work.  Brentwood Starbucks is fine.  Anyone in the Calgary area wanting to join is more than welcome.  Let me know if either of these days work and what the best time would be than we can post and invite others.

 How about monday morning shortly after 9 am at the Brentwood Starbucks? Anyone who  is available is welcome to come. If there are lots of people who aren't available during the daytime hours ....we could try another time on a weeknight or weekend but for now why don't we meet up with anyone who'd like to shortly after 9 am on monday?

I will make a  general post about it once I know if that works for you or not.
