HELP.....

Ok so I bought this dress from Ricki's and I want to wear it to My husbands Christmas Party. I love the dress but My mom thinks I am crazy to buy a dress at "My Size" ( a 16/18) when by next year I will be half my size. She told me I should wait until After I have my surgery then I would prettier! I was so hurt by her words. I wanted to wear a dress to finally say goodbye to this weight and hell this is my last "fat" Christmas..why not ! Am I CRAZY? Should I cover myself up and be ashamed of the 35lbs I have lost so far?  My dress is so pretty and its only got one strap.. I feel good in it even with the tummy sucker upper thing on.   I guess I could always take it back, what should I do???? HELP

You go girl, if you want to wear your dress then go for it don't let anyone tell you differently. Be proud of your wgt loss of 35lbs and go and show it off in style. Arlene

Enjoy that Christmas party in the way that you had intended, phooey on mom's mean words.

Next year you get to buy a brand new dress and feel good BOTH years about what you've done.

Wear the dress! Be proud of what you have accomplished so far! And honestly, I have had surgery and I keep buying clothes....I just love being able to go to a store (usually still my standard "fat person" stores but still being able to pick pretty much anything and have it fit. I have NEVER had that. So if you want to shop...then shop! And wear your dress with pride!

WEAR THE DRESS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UR SELF IMAGE AND ESTEEM IS IMPORTANT AND I SAY IF U FEEL GOOD IN THE DRESS  THEN U LOOK GOOD AS FOR UR MAMA I AM A STRONG BELIEVER OF PPL UNCONSCIOUSLY SABOTAGING PPL IT IS SAD BUT TRUE I HAD MY SURGERY LAST MONTH AND AM DOING GREAT AND THERE ARE TWO PPL I KNOW WHO WILL NOT KNOWLEDGE MY ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND LUV TO REMIND ME I STILL HAVE LOTS TO GO ECT.....AND WHO SAID PLUS SIZE WOMEN ARE NOT AS PRETTY,SEXY AS A LADY WHO IS A SIZE 8 U KNOW STRUT UR STUFF AND BE PROUD OF UR SELF CURVY WOMEN ARE JUST AS SEXY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And what does your husband say? I bet he's THRILLED and over the moon proud of you for what you've done and delighted with how lovely you look in your new dress. Wear it with the HUGE smile that is appropriate!

My husband thinks I look good in it...and he loved the Black socks I was wearing when I tried it on...LOL, Your all so Right, size 8 or 18 I love myself and I am so excited to wear that dress, I went today and bought a  beautiful necklace and matching earings to go with it!! I am so excited!!

big girls still can be beautiful... funny how our mommy's can make us feel so crummy... but you now have a honey who loves you... and you go and wear that pretty dress.... post some pictures for us i would love to see it... i have to go and buy a dress for my christmas party... nervous about finding something..I FEEL good in... so wish me luck... and heh.. have a lot of fun.. and take lots of pictures.. to remember this day well.... tammy
