Hi all-
I was away for a week and missed you all! Its amazing how much I have come to depend on this forum and all of you.
I met with Dr. Karmali on the 14th and was approved for the sleeve- I need to have flouroscopy on Nov 5th before I get put on the list, but I'm that much closer!
How is everyone else doing this fantastic Monday?

Weight at Surgery: 193.1 Surgery Date: May 18, 2011 Current Weight: 134.4 lbs
I missed you too... Glad your back. I cant belive i missed bellydancing... but i was feeling pretty crappy .. went to bed at 330 after work.. and got up at 630 this morning.. almost late for work.
went to doc.. and i have a bad throat infection... he game me meds.. hoping it helps.
I see Karmali on wed the 21st. Did u bring your food journal when u went there?

Yahoo.....way to go girl. I'm super excited for you. I had been thinking of you and wondering what happened at your appt on Thursday. Now I guess I know (lol)
God I wish I lived closer to the city so I could get together with you all on a regular basic. Being so far away sucks.
Good Luck with the upcoming fluoroscope and it looks like this upcoming New year will be your best one yet. Hooray for Weight Wise and the gift they are giving us.

1st goal acheived December 27th/2010. 1 week after my 3rd month surgery anniversary.
2nd goal acheived June 4th/2011. 2 weeks after my 8th Month Surgiversary.

You can either believe it will happen.....or believe it won't. Both are self fulfilled prophesies. For Me it has happened. My Surgery was September 21/2010

Maybe it will be an amazing week for us, I have my second appt with Dr. Birch to talk to him about my scope results (not that they've called to say they found anything wrong) and to decide on a surgery. He did ask me right before the scope which surgery we were doing and I said I wanted the Sleeve.
So hopefully I get the thumbs up and get put on the list too!
Who knows, maybe we'll both be close for surgery dates or even surgery buddies. That would be cool.

Im so glad yu are so much closer. Everything has fallen into place.. It seems just yesterday that you started this journey, I was wondering why you hadnt responded to any ot the comments,, I try to get on once a day but that depends on my busy little one.,...
So are you going to Fridays meet up. Im bringing Mini Munckin with me as Lawrence works.. :-)... Im doing much better have been seeing a therapist and buiding Boundries. " something that is very foreign for me.. :".. Im still loosing but not as much as before. Im going for weigh in most likely tomorrow.. Im fitting a 2x in some things.. ( BTW ) its Now Tues. Im alittle slow... Hugs

Adrianna- I would love to have you visit *this goes for all of you! I'd really would love nothing more than to have you guys come see me in the hospital. I know I will be in pain and probably have a little "what the hell did I do blues"
Sarah- I did bring my food journal, but Dr. K never asked to see it. Anna his nurse asked me a few questions, wrote down my responses and when Dr. K came in he asked me about the replies to the questions Anna asked. How many steps are you averaging? other activities? Suppliments? Medications? Surgery you are interested in? Then took my blood pressure. He came in, asked me about wanting the sleeve... told me the stats and signed me off once I have the fluoroscopy to confirm that my GI is in ok shape and to look for hernias, which he will add to the surgery approval if there is one.
Kee- we would love to see you. Please let us know when you are coming and we will get a group together to see you. Your new profile picture looks great! I am from Hinton, originally and go through Edson often, we should meet up for coffee one of these trips!
Dreena- I am sure that your appointment with Dr. Birch is going to be great and you will be signed off. I would love to have a surgery buddy! I feel like I've had so much support from the members on this site and it would only be right that I would have someone from here go through surgery with me.
Karen- I have missed you! Its been way, way too long. I am hoping to be there on Friday, a friend of mine's husband (they were in the midst of divorcing) died this week and I am not sure of the funeral details yet. If the funeral is on the weekend, I will be there on Friday for sure. I can't wait to see miss savannah! Her photos are so lovely.
