Maybe TMI but I gotta ask the ?
Sorry guys but I need to know if it's common to have diarrhea after starting solids. I'm on day 3 of solids and that means day 3 of diarrhea.
I would call my nurse but she's off on Fridays. I did take an Imodium which I don't know if it's allowed or not but I had to do something. I'm scared that I'm gonna get dehydrated.
I'm having enough trouble getting my liquid in already and I'm sure the diarrhea is depleting my liquid supply.
On a up note I'm definitely getting my exercise in by running up and down my hall all day.
Any feed back is welcome.
Thanks Guys.
Kee.

I think I've seen this on the VSG board. Are you on mushies? Maybe mushie in mushie out?
As long as you don't have a fever, i think it is quite normal.
if you are concerned, call the clinic anyways...they may find someone who can give you a quick call! If it's making you feel unwell...you don't want to end up really sick, dizzy, fainting etc.

Totally normal...and explosive at first! Then for me it went to constipation, and very painful! I almost went to the hospital but Lee recommended flax and all bran and that helped. Once you are healed and on proper solids and eating like an adult again your body will come to realize that this sudden change is not temporary and it will adjust accordingly. I know that the first few months are a huge learning process and they are scary! But you will get through it and even tho the loss is slower than the by pass I think you will be happy with your choice...I know I am!
