EBSG Peer Support Group Meeting - October

The next Edmonton Bariatric Peer Support Group meeting goes on Monday, October 4 at 5:30pm.  It takes place in the Jean Hamilton Room at the Royal Alex Hospital Community Services Building where the WW clinic is located.

I'm going to try and make it.

Im unable to as per our conversation this month.. I will def. make it next month,, I did email Brad P and ask for a reschedule but he didnt reply.. LOL 

I have never been before.  How long does it go, how many ppl usually go there?

Meeting starts at 5:30pm and goes until usually 8pm.  The number of people fluxuates significantly from month to month.  On a good night, there could be a dozen people.  On a less busy night, there could be 3 or 4 people, which can make for some effective one-on-one discussions.  Most of the EBSG members are pre/post-op VSG patients, but there are a couple RNY such as the group leader, Tracey.

Nancy...I personally have no idea. If I am able to go tonight, this will be my first meeting as well.

Thanx, I think I'll go.  Never know what you might learn and who you might meet.  I might even drag my husband along, he really should know what I'm planning to get myself into... :)

Sure, sounds like a plan.  I will definately be there with my wife, who is also has had the VSG. Tracey will probably be there as I haven't heard otherwise.  Folks have brought their spouses/significant others to the meetings and they are free to participate and ask questions or sit their quietly and soak in the information. Depends on the comfort level, but we are a pretty easy going group of people.  The meeting will be very informal.  Looking forward to seeing you and anyone else who can attend.

No problem about being late.  Folks can show up whenever they are able since we have such a lengthy meeting time.
