Hey ladies,

First i want to say that reading all your guys story's has really helped to keep me motivated. Normally by now i would have given up and grabed my favorite pop. Its been 3 weeks with no pop but today was a little harder being we went to the mall to walk around.

I was just wondering if anyone could shed some light on what to expect from the meeting with a nutirtionist and the mental health check. Then hopefully my referal will be good to go fingers crossed. Ive started taking the moduals and i must say its really eye opening. I have failed at actually  losing weight and keeping it off so many times that this time im trying to do everything i can to ensure i win the battle. anyways any insight would be great

Thanks Ladies

Melissa:

I honestly can't remember much of my appointment besides the fact that my nurse just asked me a bunch of questions. The only people I hever had to meet with at the clinic was my nurse and nut. Oh and the physiotherpaist once, who couldn't figure out why I was seeing him. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

These are the new guidelines prior to referrals being excepted and the majority if us on the Alberta forum are already in the clinic, pre-op & post-op. I'm sure with new members to the site you'll get more helpful answers as the referral process is much different than when I applied. have invited a friend of mine to join the site & she just met with her doc last week to discuss Weight Wise as an option. She has enrolled in 4 modules and is waiting on the meeting with a dietitian. In the interim she journals & wears a pedometer. Every little bit helps!!
