Me again!
I had my appointment with the internist this morning and it was really good. Spent more time with the nurse than with the actual Doctor- but she agreed that I should see the surgeon and I have an appointment to meet Dr. Karmali for October 14th!
Tammy- it was absolutely wonderful to meet you. You have such a fantastic spirit and I was so pleased to get to spend a little bit of time with you. I think you had a very calming effect on me too! Thanks.
So- what's everybody else up to this gorgeouse Monday?
Kee.

You can either believe it will happen.....or believe it won't. Both are self fulfilled prophesies. For Me it has happened. My Surgery was September 21/2010
As for what I'm doing...I'm in a seriously anxious and stressy place. I have my scope on the 4thMy weight hasn't been budging AT ALL.
Despite walking to and from school every day, doing extra chores because all of the kids are in school now...and some days doing TRIPLE the steps that I had ever been doing before.
The closest i've come to 10 000 steps has been just over 8K ...which is phenomenal for me...because when I started out I was maybe doing 800 (and getting to 2800..my goal..was a HUGE battle). I'm so embarassed to admit that, but it's true! I keep writing down what I'm eating, patting myself on the back for the good changes Imake....and hope that that scale budges soon.
I've only lost 20lbs in my year at the clinic. I'm a bit disappointed. (40lbs in the last 2 years since the referral went in..to now) Which is a better number.
I've added the Bellydance to shake some sense into my body... LOL :)
Will walk to pick up my girl from school right away, and walk home. Make dinner preps. Enjoy the sun on my face. Maybe do some crafting later to settle down and have some peace. Put nice fresh sheets on the bed to spoil myself. Yeah...that's it here!
Enjoy your walk and hope you get to do the crafts later. I like doing crafts as well and find if my hands are busy I less inclined to snack.
Go spoil yourself.
I've been so tired, and then when I exercise extra...I feel hungry....which is frustrating! I don't want to eat extra calories.
I will give it a go. Great advice and support here, thank you!
I have the 1 and 2 mile one as well I try and alternate them the two mile only take 30 min. I get what you say about feeling hungry but I have found it got less with the more exercise and my day is definitely better when I do fit it in. It is so easy to say later and we all know later never comes.
I also know how frustrating it is not to see the scale move down. I have to be so careful as I can gain 5 pounds or more overnight it seems.
Good luck
Here's a little trick to help with the weight stall. Start out your week by dropping around a 100 calories a day for 4 or 5 days and then add them all back and eat normal for a few days and then do it again. It jults the system and really works plus if you tend to eat the same calories eat day and the same types of food the body will get bored and hang on to everything. I've done it and it worked for me. Also it was told to a few patients at the clinic by their Nut that it is safe to do.
Here's my example:
Monday 1400 calories
Tuesday 1300 calories
Wednesday 1200 calories
Thursday 1100 calories
Friday 1300
Saturday 1200
Sunday 1000.
Good Luck and Keep doing it girl, even if you maintain it shows your working at it.
