Pre Admission Clinic
Kim will be doing her pre-admin on Monday so I thought I'd let her know how BORING it is.
You start off by watching a video of what to expect the day of your surgery. It last about 1/2 hour and anyone who has surgery before would know kinda what they will go though. There were about 10 of us watching it but only 2 of us were for wls.
Then you are put in a room and the waiting begins. You see a nurse-she reviews your history, lab tech-she takes your blood, cardiologist- he does a ecg, you may or may not see him, Internist (who was super hot and smell yummy) I wouldn't mind seeing him again, the aneshetist-review procedures of being put to sleep and someone from the surgical team seem me too but i can't remember why, I think it was just to see if i had any question cause he was in and out in 2 minutes. And all this can take anywhere from 2-6 hours. I personally was in there 3.5 hours and every time I layed on the bed and thought I get a cat nap someone came in.
I'd say to be sure to bring a book and a bottle of water. They do have a tray set up with coffee and tea and the nurse did offer me a sandwich but I had my water and i was ok.
So anyway now you all know how boring pre-admin is and what happens. Other than that I had my weight in this morning with Corey and I was down 10 pounds from when I did my pre-op class in August. I bought some nice loose fitting pj's tonight and even though they are suppose to be capri, well ya I'm so short they are full length, but it's ok I'll live. Now all I can say is come on Tuesday.

Thanks for the info- I look forward to getting it done and hoep I have time to shop too.
I bought myself a pr of pjs last month and hopefully they will do the trick. I know when I was in the hospital in January I couldn't wait to get out of that damn gown as soon as I felt like getting up.
See you sometime on Tuesday and best wishes for an uneventful surgery & quick recover!!
I can't believe that I'm not stressing yet. I guess I'm save that for Tuesday morning. Then I'll be asking for the happy drugs to get me throught it :). I'm one of those last minute freak out kinda people.
