Gall Bladder surgery April 12,2012
You can either believe it will happen.....or believe it won't. Both are self fulfilled prophesies. For Me it has happened. My Surgery was September 21/2010
I had visions of the worst of course, but it was alot better then I ever thought. I first 5 days I had alot of gas, but I just kept walking, walking, walking. That is very important. I was walking the hallways of the hospital that afternoon. Once the gas left I felt great!!! The one and only time that I felt sick was the next morning when I had to drink some horrible sweet thick crap and then they did the xray to make sure that there was no leaks. From the time that you have your surgery till the next day when they check for leaks you cant have anything to eat or drink including ice chips. So drinking that stuff on an empty stomach was nasty.LOL!! I was in to see my surgeon for my one month post op on Tuesday, he was happy with how well I healed. I didnt have any problems with my incisions. I was on the liquid diet for 11 days prior to surgery. So total of weight loss pre op and post op is about 25lbs. I have not lost much in the last 10 days but have heard from many that you kinda stall right around the 3-4 week mark when you start eating solid foods. I am VERY happy with my decision. If anyone has any questions about surgery or afterwards, I am happy to answer them.
Have a wonderful day!!
