Yes! So excited!

Good news! I received the call from the hospital earlier this week, and have a surgery date booked around one month from now. I'd tried calling them previously, but I think it just depends on your number on the waitlist. I suppose anyone else waiting can be assured - they really will call you, out of the blue! 

Immediately I felt very hopeful - I have been struggling with this weight a lot lately. Also now I am a little bit NERVOUS. This is my first real surgery! I have been overweight my entire life, since the age of 10. I can't wait to see what life is like at a normal healthy weight! And I LOVE fashion so I feel like I should send a notice/warning to some of the shops... Stock up!

Wish me luck, the surgery date is during my birthday week!

Congratulations. I'm glad to hear that things are falling into place. The next month will fly by and before you know it your big day will be here.
If your feeling a little anexious about this being your first surgery you can dicuss it at your pre-op appointment and maybe they can give you a happy pill before surgery. I've had them in the pass and they are wonderful.

Congrats!!  I'm in the same boat as you - first surgery and that's a little scary!  I will be getting my date on Monday.  I'll post when I know!
