I had my sleeve done 9 days ago and cant believe how well I'm doing.  One incision is still a little sore but yesterday was dancing around cleaning my house.  I am down 14 lbs (20 total) and am noticing a difference.  I only told a couple people so dont really have people to talk to, just wanted to say how excited I am at having a new life.  Oh and for anyone from edmonton, do you have a good doctor?  I dont have one and want to find one who is pro surgery.  Thanks for reading!

Congrats to you !!  I am 15 months post op from RNY and am on my way to my Panni surgery late fall or spring.

I also feel great.  have lost 140 lbs and still slowly losing more.

Take care of yourself....I am from Cold Lake and have great care here.  I see my surgeon for the RNY Dr. Davey in Bonnyville for follow ups.

Keep up the great work !!

Congratulations on your new sleeve and the weightloss!!
My get sleeved on September 21st ! I'm soooo excited that the time is coming up fast.
I do have a few questions for you--- or for anyone that has sleeved for that matter.
I'm wondering about the incisons. The size, location etc etc. Does anyone have any pictures they'd like to share?
I'm just wondering what all to expect. I asked all the questions I could but this kinda of stuff LOL

I have 5 incisions, one on top and 4 kind of across my abdomen.  One is still leaking which I'm told is normal and other than that they are just very itchy.

Ok that was what I was figuring! I had my gallbladder out in January and assume the incisions are very similar.

Had to look up what a Panni surgery was...lol.  Now that I have an idea, is that covered under Alberta Health care?  I'm trying to get the exercise in now, slow and steady, but....I'm sure it will only take care of so much.

Kim:

I had 7 small incisions. 2 on each side, one bigger for the stapler and 4 right in the centre.
