Just starting with weight wise... What to expect???

Wow!!  Sorry for taking FOREVER to clear this up!!

No, No, no appointment with the actual WeightWise thingy at the Alex yet!!!  With the referral I was given by my family doctor, it requires you to have gone through 6 months of community based courses etc.  So, I have an appointment tomorrow with a dietician at one of the community, public health clinics!!! 

I WI**** was that easy to get in!!!

I just don't know what to expect!!  I lost about 100lbs on weigh****chers about 9 years back and an THRILLED (not so much) to have gained it all back (apparently, it missed me more than I missed it!)  I don't know if they will say, "yes do weigh****chers, it's awesome" or "no way, it blows."  Or eat 3 fruits, 12 veggies and a rice cake and you life will be wicked etc etc - any insight there??

i find that everyone is different, my son who is 330 lbs was told he did not qualify for the program.. So Yes everyone persons abiltiy to come into the program is some what based on Need I feel.. I was referred March 2008 seen first time Feb 2009 started May 2009 and had surgery April 2010.. I believe that it's a " sorry to say" Luck of the Draw".. I even  know people from other provinces who have been waiting 2 yrs and are still " Jumping through " the hoops per say.. I started calling around xmas cus I thought maybe that would push me faster,, But in all honesty,, We  there is a reason why things happen..  the dietician will go through your food plan( what your eating or Not) what she or he wants you to  try and change. I used to drinik 8 litres of coke a day..    Be willing to be open minded,, you maybe not like what they ask you and thats ok,. I did a  feelings journal on top of my food journal.. I did the 80 /20 rule. as long as i was ok 80 percent i could cheat 20 percent.. but I was very honest cus i knew the only person i was lieing to was me..

I have a great RN and RD and that helped... Good luck.. cant wait to hear the progression..
