Does anyone know what bougie size the surgeons at Weight Wise use for VSG?

When I was approved by Dr Menezes I asked him this exact question and I was told it is a 50 guage which equals to about 80-85 percent of your stomach removed. The remaining stomach can handle anywhere from 50-80 ml after surgery.

Not sure if anyone has been told anything different, I can only go by what I was told.

I'm not too sure in all honesty. I had the RNY and I was told that my stomache is now 50mls to 75mls and it will grow to half a cup to MAYBE one cup. So my food in take is very limited...for solid foods.

The kicker is liquids - gotta watch those empty calories!
