EBSG Peer Support Group Meeting for August

Hi All!

The next Edmonton Bariatric Peer Support Group meets next Friday (Aug 6) at 5:30pm. It will be held at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, in the Community Services Building, first floor in the Jean Hamilton room.

I plan on being their.. Im looking forward to it.. Any  ideas??????  I have size 5 and 6 clothes if anyone knows of someone.. Would hate to just get rid of them...

I'm sorry, but any ideas regarding what?  The meeting?  At this point, we are planning to talk about the upcoming summer BBQ social on Aug 28.  Aside from that, it's basically just getting updates on everyone, talking about their journeys, struggles, and whatnot.  Things are pretty informal.  If you want to see other things at the meetings, let me know,  We are happy to take suggestions.

Hi there,
I am having a VSG on Aug. 9 and would very much like to be part of your group. I'm out of town on the 6th, so can't attend that meeting, but I was curious about the Aug. 28th meeting (no BBQ for me, though, should be on mushies!). How do I sign up to come?

Techinically, all you need to do is show up. All pre/post surgery patients are welcome to the meetings. Aside from Aug 6 & 28, our next meeting will be Monday, Sept 13.

EBSG has a yahoo web group presence at http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/EdmontonBSG/. You can sign up there to have another support resource and get notice on meeting dates.
