Surgery Booked!!

So today is the start of a lot of changes!!  I called to see if my surgery was booked, but it wasn't .  BUT the lady I talked to, who wasn't Lorraine booked the surgery with me right there!

So my surgery date is now July 13th.  Wow! that is only a month away.  I decided I'm going to postpone school since well I think working, school, adjusting, and watching the non-verbal boy I do may be a little too much.  I also gained 4 pounds so I'm back on the wagon so to speak... actually I decided that I'm going to do the 3 week liquid diet and not just the 2 week one.  I need all the help I can get.

Now I'm also in the June 22 9am Maintain the change class...

When were you approved for surgery? I was approved on May 3rd & have heard nothing yet I'm in the 9am class for Maintaining the Change on the 22nd too so I'll meet you then!

You are right...we were approved on the same day.  When I was there Dr. Birch said that he didn't want me waiting for months for my surgery.... But we all konw how that can go. 

I went to weigh myself today and got tired of waiting so I decided to call them again today.  I called them 2 weeks ago and was just told that I'm on the waiting list.  If you want to call the number is 780-735-5107.

So I just called and spoke with Joanne. She said that Dr. Birch is booked up until July 13th and that their are 6 people ahead of myself on the list.
She figures I won't get in until September- due to summer .It kinda sucks but at the same time I can enjoy my summer, my golfing and potential trip to Texas!

Congrats on getting your date!  My Maintaining the Change class isn't until July 13th...which is your surgery date!  I'll be a while yet but hope it isn't into September.   I'll be looking forward to hearing about your progress - especially with the liquid diet.  I'm not looking forward to my 3 weeks but will be happy to get it over with.

I am extremely excited and nervous at the same time.  Also today I keep on breaking out in tears because I have to postpone my school for another year and a bit.  I know it is for the best but I just wish I was super woman that I could be everything but I know it isn't possible.  So that is really what I'm suggling with right now.  oh well.
