Well I didn't meet with Dr. Karmali today but seen Dr. Menezes, he is another surgicial team member. He was so sweet and such a gentle spoken man. I felt so comfortable with him.
But anyway on to the rest......I'M APPROVED.........I'm so excited. After Jina's call last week I was so worried but because my bmi is only 41 and i'm loosing he's given me the go ahead for surgery. He said I do not need any test done and no liquid diet.
BUT psych and the nut say they (Dr. Menzes) tells everyone that and no matter what you will do a liquid diet some longer than others but everyone can espect at least a minium of 3 days up to 3 weeks. I'm ok with that cause I know it'll help with the surgery and apparently the recovery time too.
Pre-op classes were scheduled today too and now it's just a waiting game. I'm so excited I could cry.

I spoke to my dietitian today & she said I'm good to go & reassured me no liquids prior to the big day!! Yahhhh!
I have my classes book for June 11& 22 @ 9am with a bunch of dietary papers to get from my chart on Friday.
Be cool if we were in on the same day for VSG hey? Did he give you any kind of time frame? I've waited 5 weeks now. I'm ready!!!! Lol

I was told anywhere from 8 days to 4 months. I asked if the O.R's close anytime for holiday over the summer and they told me that they have actually opened 5 more O.R. rooms and the surgery waits have been decreased cause of the new opening.
