Hey all!

Hi people!  I am sorry I haven't been on in a while...been so very busy:)  I have started to have some pain in my right side especially at night when I am in bed laying on my back (still the only way I can sleep)  Not too sure when that will go away.  I have broken out the codeine again for when it flares up.  But during the day it is minimal.  I think maybe I pulled a muscle on my side and that the liver scope site is just taking its sweet time to heal:(  But all in all I am wonderful.  I have lost 31lbs since May 1st.  Very happy about that.  I drop then stall, drop then stall...but that's ok.  I am still smaller than I was going into surgery and I am nearly 80lbs down from heaviest.  I am trying to keep active so that has kept me away from the computer.  On the yucky days I do my wii fit.  On the nice days I do a 2 mile walk.  I am hoping to visit a friend tomorrow and then go for a long walk as it is supposed to be nice.  I tried bike riding twice.  It hurts when my right leg bends up to my body so I am not sure that I will be biking again for a while...until it heals.  I dunno.  ANyone else have this or should I go see my dr?  All the sites look good except the one where my stomach is.  I have to wear a bandaid or my bra rubs it and makes it sore and ooze.  Oh well.  It's all part of the process.

It was quite sometime before by main incision healed also. It actually got infected and it was almost two months before it fully closed. Because of the infection, they didn't want any healing outside...it had to heal from the inside out...so it was packed twice a day.

Anyways, watch it...and make sure the oozing isn't yellow or foul smelling...if it is, you need antibiotics...

I had homecare come and dress it for me twice a day for about a month...then I could do it myself.

Oh.  Well mine isn't infected or anything, that I know of.  But that right side of my belly button sure hurts and pulls!!!  I hope it goes away soon.

I had pain in my right side,it felt like a sharp "stitch" every once in a while and he told me it could be my gallbladder from losing weight so fast, im on gallbladder meds for 3 months, if i dont take the pills i notice a pinch in there, i would go to the doctor..just in case :)

Hey there AlbertaAmanda....I am just wondering what meds you are taking for the gallbladder?

I took Buscopan when my gb flared but ended up getting it out in January. They really didn't work after a while & the gallstones weren't gonna go away. You lose weight & then whamo gallbladder attacks. They seriously are worse than childbirth. Well at least I thought so!! Lol

They put me on Ursodiol for the 3 months. It seems to be working, except when i miss a pill. I am currently working night shift for a few days, and am trying to adjust taking my pills, and i missed one Ursodiol pill yesterday, and i paid for it today, i got nauseated, and barfed bile like no other.. if i dont take them i get the pain and my body starts overproducing bile and makes me sick.
