Question about meds...

Hi Everyone- Hope you are all having an excellent May long weekend!

My question is about drug interactions... I have just been prescribed Adderall for ADD and I have GERD and have been taking Omeprazole (Losec) since September. I was reading the interaction info on Adderall and Omeprazole is listed, but neither the shrink or my pharmasist mentioned it to me.

Should I keep taking both or lay off the Omeprazole until I can get back into the clinic and ask someone?

Hi Chance- You can phone the pharmicist just to double check. That is why you want to always get ALL your prescriptions filled at the same drugstore/pharmacy because they always check new scrips with previous ones to be sure it is OK.

Do what Katie suggest and double check with the pharmisist. Stop taking the Losec if you can do without for a couple of days or most pharmacies are open today and on holidays call them. I have two boys on Adderall for ADD and it works well with them but an added benefit for you will be that it can suppress the appetite.
