5 days out...what were you eating?
That is too bad that you feel like that but you probably still have some anesthetic in your system which will make you feel tired and also your body is getting used to the reduced amount of calories. Even if you don't feel like it try and eat or if you don't want to eat have an ensure or some of one it will have in it what your body needs as it has alot of healing to do. Unfortunately it all takes time. Wishing your all the best wishes for you journey and hope you feel better soon.
P.S Pain makes you sluggish as well. When I had my c-sections I found walking helped get rid of the gas pains.
Good luck
Thanks Scott. I had some tomatoe soup yesterday, and some oatmeal today and yesterday. I feel more like myself today, but things need to get regulated in my body. I have had 2 tbps of oatmeal and a cup of 1% milk so far. hubby is getting me some applesauce for my afternoon snack. I'm thinking more soup foe lunch today. Overall feeling much better just have that feeling like there is nothing between my bones and skin. I'm a little weak, but it will pass:) It has with my other surgeries so I know it will with this one too.
How are you feeling now? You must be about 3 weeks out? Things going well?
My endurance went way down after surgery as well. I would have to pause in the middle of going up 4 stairs and was winded with walking around my house. After close to two months I'm feeling pretty much normal now, but I still have to really think about what I'm eating and keep reminding myself that I can't eat what and as fast as I used to.
Just remember to rest when your body tells you to, drink your fluids, get up and walk a bit every once in a while and the rest will fall into place.
