I'm so happy you are home and well. Dr. Birch worked his magic and soon you'll be a whole new you- full of energy and hope for a healthier future.
Can't wait to see the results of your WLS on the ticker soon.

Get lots of rest this long weekend and don't let your body do more than it wants.

Hopefully my trip into the OR is nearing!

Hi Relene,

Happy to hear that you are back home and feeling well enough to get on this board. You take good care girl. Don't try too much too soon. Just know that you are now on the losers' bench! Wahoo for you!!

SixfootKat and I are scheduled for June 1 and 2. Is there anyone else before us or are we next in line?

Hopefully booking calls me this coming week with a date. I hear booking is done into September with the surgeons having a break in the summer.I'd LOVE to get in & out before July but I'm not holding my breath or waiting by the phone.

Hey all.

My hospital stay was 2 nights.  I got up and walked as soon as I could...once they had me in my room.  So about 2 hours after surgery.   THe nurses were amazed and impressed that I was doing so well.  I had a shower and walked a few times.  The meds made me so blinking tired that I would fall back asleep once I hit the bed again.  Honeslty it is so much easier at home!  Also there was another woman in there who was sleeved that day.  She and I had met at our prepping for surgery class.  She stayed in bed the whole time from what I could tell...I never saw her out in the halls.  And when I was waiting for the porter to take me back to my room after the flouroscope she was going in.  All I could hear were her yells and screams about the pain.  Once when I was walking by her room I heard the nurse say to her you are going to have to get up and start walking soon. I'm glad that my experience was so much better than hers!  I wonder now how she is doing.  Day 5 is better....the best so far!  my body is getting back into shape and all is going pretty well.  not sleeping through the night yet, but one day I will be!  I know that each day is just going to get better and better.  I was able to go for a 1 mile walk this morning and hubby and I are going to go for another one later.

So glad you are doing so well! I was planning to stop to see you on Thursday afternoon but heard you were going to be by the time I got up there... but I was thinking about you!
