So yesterday I was on the Phone with Dr. Farries Office for another Patient who is going to be having a general surgery done and I casually ask her if she could check where abouts I am on his bariatric wait list. So she checked for me and I am Number 14!!!!! So I asked her when she thought I might have a consult with him and she said that he has 2 clinical days in June so if there is someone who can`t come on those days I might have a chance and seeing him next month. If not then it would be September or October. I am so excited to hear that news. She also told me I could start journalling my diet and Physical activity as I will be doing alot of that once I see him, so it wouldn`t hurt to get in the habit now. Wow what a ride this has been. I am so Happy about it I can`t stop smiling these days and people just can`t figure it out. I haven't told too many people yet, but I feel like I have a million dollar check coming my way and I can`t tell anyone!! Just knowing that I will get my chance at WLS is so exciting!!! WOW

2nd goal acheived June 4th/2011. 2 weeks after my 8th Month Surgiversary.

OMG when I got home and checked the messages from the phone there was a call from Dr. Farries office in regards to information about a appointment!!! I am soooooooooooooo excited to call them back tomorrow morning!!!! YIPEEEEEEEEEE I am praying that its for June!! HOW EXCITING!!! This whole experience has me so obsessed, it sits on my brain all day, everyday!! I`ll let you all know what they say tomorrow!!

Wow, congrats to you!

I also was referred on May 3, 2010 from my doc here in Calgary. I didn't know if it was too soon to call and ask if I"m on the list or not... but I guess not! I'm calling tomorrow!

I didn`t call just to find out that information, I had called about a patient of ours and thought to myself, Well why not ask while I have her on the phone..lol If I was you I would call, Just so you know the time frame your up against. It can change cause of people changing their mind or not being able to make the appointments or following the rules. Its nice to meet someone else going through this with the same Surgeon. Good Luck, let us know that they say:)
