Canadian Eh..
Hello
Sorry I have been MIA for awhile....marriage and a honeymoon got in the way ; ) lol
Also...renos like crazy in our home.
I just got back from the Mayan Rivieria in Mexico...ahhh..loved it!
I chose the RNY because I wanted the "golden surgery"...the VSG didn't have enough stats to satisfy my curiosity and the band was out of the question.
I love my RNY....I lost another 4 lbs while I was on the resort...my God...who would have thought.

Wow girl, I would say that you were busy. Congradulations!!! I hope you had a drink by the beach for all of us back here?
As for the RNY, I have concerns. I need to know if these are realistic or not and would really appreciate if you could use your expertise of past experience to help me out? Originally I thought that the VSG was the be all end all. I have since thought that in the past I have had very restricted diets and not have dropped an ounze. This makes me wonder how effective it would be. I think though that it may be safer of the two. My concerns with the RNY is the malnourishment. Do you feel totally run over by the deficiencies? What if you can never compensate for them with enough vitamins? Would you say that your overall sense of well being was better 1 month post op as opposed to 1 month pre-op? If you felt tanked after the surgery, for how long did that last before you started to feel not only good but better than you did pre-surgery? I am concerned about stretching the bottom part of the new pouch and then always feeling hungry after that because the food just runs though. Is this a realistic concern and does it happen often?
I know I definately could use the RNY but am quite concerned about the deficiencies and how that will translate to my overall wellbeing. Thanks so much for listening to my concerns.
