So today after class I talked to the owner of the place i take my bellydancing.  I brought up the idea of maybe having a class for bigger people. She loved the idea!! ... so i thought i would see if anyone here would be willing to take a bellydancing class where people are not the skinny minnie.  She would like to know what days WEEK NIGHT  6-730 ish or saturdays??/ and what season SUMMER OR FALL?

im good with any time ... week n ight or saturday... and i think that FALL would be better as alot of people go away and do THINGs in the summer..

whats your 2 cents ??

Now that sounds like fun! Certainly more fun than walking on a treadmill for exercise. Count me in. Where in Edmonton are the classes held?

I'm in!! I love the idea and would be more than willing to be part of it.

I have also contacted the yoga for plus sized place and am waiting to hear back from them. I would love to take that too cause I am not going to try it in a regular class.

Thanks for including us Sarah!

No Problem :)  So let me know what you find out about the yoga. I may be interested in going to that as well.

I do bellydancing & bellyfit (cardio with yoga & pilates core strengths) and I LOVE it. The best part is that most people in the class are newbies and we all started at the same place in trying to move our bodies in new ways. Hip slides, belly rolls, shimmies etc are not easy as they aren't something we do everyday.

I love Bellyfit! If you are active and don't mind being in a class that serves all levels of fitness from beginner to advanced- try this class. I add the hops and claps and put more into the routine to get more out of it and it's so much fun. I am NOT a fan of yoga or pilates as I feel like a complete idiot sticking my butt up in the air and crossing my legs onto each other. I'm just not flexible enough yet.

I wish I lived closer to a city centre to be able to engage in more classes. Hope you all have fun. I know I do!
