Looking for a new Family Physician in Edmonton
RNY on 05/23/12
Hi All!
Today, my wife and I lost our family physician, Dr. Norman Goldstuck. The events around his departure are hazy as the only thing we know is that he didn't come back from vacation and his office staff have been laid off. So, we are not sure whether he quit, is ill or has died. We were given our medical records by the office staff, who are working today without pay in the wake of this situation, along with suggestions for physicians who might be taking new patients.
All in all, we are sad at this new development and hope the best for Dr. Goldstuck. He referred both my wife and I to the WW clinic on our very first visit and the rest is history. So, we have a great deal of respect and admiration for him as he essentially saved and bettered our lives through his practice.
Needless to say, his departure now leaves us scrambling to find a new GP. Preferrably, we'd like someone who is sensitive to obesity issues and can work with us now that we are post- surgery.
If anyone has or knows of a GP who can fit the bill and is taking new patients, we'd love to hear from you.
Cheers!

Hello there,
I honestly don't know if she's taking new patients but my Dr is Ellise Morley and she is amazing. She has so much compassion and I've never felt judged by her like I've felt with other Dr's. Her practice is out of the Beaumaris Mall on the north side of Edmonton. I hope she's taking new patients! The number for the office is 780 472 7575.
Good luck on your search! I know how hard it is to find a good doctor/hairstylist/mechanic. Once you've found a good one you can't let them go!!
