I journal! I write down all the feelings I had that made me self-sabotage and I plan a strategy for the next time I have those same urges/ feelings.

Sometimes my hormones are so overwhelming that if I don't give into the sugar cravings I am really terrible to be around- so I give in, count the calories and move on.

Yup, I sure do.  I took the craving change course which ahs really helped.  Some ideas are

1. the 80 20 rule.  You are good 80% of the time and allow for indulgences 20% of the time

2. STOP NEGATIVE SELF TALK!  Tell yourself postivie messages every day.  I met you Sarah and you are worth more than whatever it is that is trying to take you down (the chips, that chocolate bar etc)  You are a wonderful and kind person.  Doesn't matter if you had a slip, just don't let yourself slide honey!

3.Distract yourself

4. Journal

If you give me a specific example maybe i can go through the book and see if there is anything in it that might help you:)  Good luck.  I am a self sabatour and I know how hard this can be, but don't let it win:)  You are in CONTROL!

Hugs,

Relene

I really think us doing the CRAVING changes one first would be so benificial.

.
I have booked 4 classes to see if i can get anyting more out of them.. I think self sab. is a normal thing .( at least for me) prior to surgery..  For yrs I used my weight to " keep people away" , no accountablity , No self care. Now Im trying to change and its still a struggle. IE' My water melon issue.. I know it makes me sick but I do it cus I know better.. Nope by body does...   Journal.. Try and limit yourself to going out for dinners to a few a wk.. ??? Try.. Use the 80 - 20 rule.. It really helps...  We all slip.. its getting back . Being accountable.. " Who Drives Your Bus"..

Yup Karen I agree on all accounts!  i put that we should have craving change as a mandatory part of the clinic and that it should be offered more often and that everyone should take it within the first few months of this program.  Hopefully they listen.  It's still a good course, but its a little late for me now that I am going for surgery

HECK YAA , I've been a bit stressed over little things and overall its gotten me down on myself. Enter late nite snack time started with just a bite a small taste then well... anyway I'm writing everything I feel once again. I stopped a few days back.. bad choice on my part.
