At 14 days post op-- what are the consumption guidelines?
What surgery have you had?

One day at a time! We all make mistakes and pay for them. I always associated food with alcohol-- too much will make you sick and do crazy things LOL

I'm doing alright most of the time.  My pain is a lot less, but I still take the Tamacet at night to help me sleep, it really works to lessen the pain on my right side.  I'm a tummy sleeper so sleeping on my back has been torture.

So far I'm tolerating all foods, but I've only really tried eggs, chicken, cream cheese, cheese, turkey deli meat and melba rounds.  Today I had 2 egg whites with cheese and I cooked up a chicken breast and made chicken salad, I put some on the melba toast, but I found that it was much better just eating it out of the container lol.  I've been munching on it on and off all afternoon.  I can only eat about a 1/4 cup of anything at one time.  How about you?

Last night I seemed to be having issues.  I seemed to be constipated so I took some Milk of Magnesia and that seemed to work to clear me out, but I found that my muscles were really hurting after that.  Then I was drinking water before bed, not too quickly, but I was feeling nauseous after I drank it and ended up throwing up the water that I drank.  I'm hoping that doesn't happen every night.

I've really found that my incisions are healing a lot faster now that I've been eating real food.  They've gotten a lot smaller just in the last few days, and my bruises are healing faster too.  You had 7 incisions, right?  How big were they?  I'm just wondering because mine seem like they were overly big.  I have one about a cm long and the other 6 were at least 1 to 2 inches across, which is not what my nurse told me.  He said that the biggest one that I would have would be 2 cms across and that's it.

I'm finding that my energy is coming back slowly.  I'm excited for the day that I don't wake up in the morning tired though lol.

That's about it for me.  What are you eating? I'm needing more ideas for different foods to try so early out.

Tammy, when is your follow-up appointment with Dr. Birch?  Mine is on the 26th at 11:15, is this close to yours?  Maybe we can get together?
