sitting up
I am experiencing something very similar Tammy. I'm finding it hard to even sit on the toilet. I found a good position on the couch while propped up on some pillows, it really helps.
I am meeting my hubby after work so today will be the first day I try to drive. I'm a bit nervous about my mobility (shoulder checking... etc.) but I'm sure it'll be fine. I'm glad I'm not meeting him in Edmonton, we're just going to Leduc so it's not so stressful.
Also, are you having any back pain? I called in to the clinic yesterday and they said it's very normal as they are kind-of rough on your body while you are on the table. Apparently, a lot of people complain of a sore back after surgery. Mine seems pretty bad and tylenol doesn't even touch the pain. Oh well, I'm sure it'll go away eventually.

Hello
I had RNY but the incisions are no different than what you have. YEs...they are rough on your body...moving things over...cutting...rearranging...your arms are up around your ears for a couple of hours..you are laying on a cold steel operating table...the gas pain is horrible...my left shoulder area was so sore....
BUT...within a month it was all gone....and I was feeling much better (my main incision was infected) too.
I slept on our recliner for a few weeks...getting up and down out of bed was too painful...
Sooo...with that in mind...treat your body well...and it will give you a lifetime of joy in the end!
