Back from my CT scan

Well thankfully I made it to Edmonton.  I almost turned back.  I had to go 60 from home to Viking as it was so slushy.  It tried to pull my vehicle all over the road.  Coming home was clear sailing though, the roads were just wet.  I probably should not have risked my life (there were a few cars in the ditch)  I actually arrived at RAH at about 11 (My appointment was at 1 and I was supposed to be there for noon)  They took me in right away and I was back in my car by noon:)  It worked out really well for me.  Now I just pray that the results are good and that I don't have a lot of fat around my liver.  Wish me luck!  LOL!

It was very easy.  You just lay there for 5 minutes and breathe how they ask.  Then you leave:)  They said my DR will contact me with the results.  Otherwise I will ask either Lee or whatever RN I get in May.

Hmm things have changed since I had my surgery last May.

I never had a CT scan...I think the surgeons are finding that people's livers are surrounded by too much fat....I think they just want to know everything they can before surgery.

Even if there is too much fat...they push the liver to the side to get to the stomach...I am sure all is well and you will be in that surgery room in no time.

You know...that was the first time I didn't mind going for surgery...I had two surgeries prior...MANY moons ago...one was for my tubal and the other was removing of my gallbladder.

The reason it is so important to look at the liver is that it can be very enlarged and brittle so when they go to move it over it can crack and bleed and then your surgery will be delayed... happy that you had one to make sure that all is well
I am now 10 days out of lsg (sleeve) and am feeling amazing...hope get your surgery soon...
