just joined - time off work?

Hey .... just found this place... nice to see .... have jumped the weight wise hoops and now have the date for my "banding"  - April 28. Now the real work begins ....

How long did/do most people take off work?

I was signed off, by the doctor, for 3 days - the day of surgery and 2 days.  I took a week of holiday after the 3 days for just in case.

i had gastric bypass with complications and have been booked off work for 8 week (i drive transit) and i find out on monday how many more weeks i will need off, and that is all due to the nature of my job as well as my physical complications

I was just talking to Dr Davey about that this week...he said normally 3 weeks...

mine said it sdepends on the nature of your work, but around 6 weeks with VSG
