creeping
Hi everyone!
I just realized that I had been quiet for a few days and thought...I bet I'm not the only person who is just reading everyones posts with nothing much to say. So I thought I would start this post for all of us creepers and give us a chance to say hello without having to add anything to existing posts.
I so greatly love how active this board has become and I think the bravery and spirit you all show every day is amazing! I salute you all and enjoy reading about your journeys.

Hello Everyone!
I too enjoy this board very much. I find that all the posts keep me focused and sane about this journey. That said, I have to say that I am not impressed with all the waiting around. I can understand a certain amount of time in order to ensure that a person can properly investigate and make sure they have made the right decisions but to carry the wait times so long that a person almost forgets why they are are on this journey in the first place is detrimental I think.
Sorry to sound off but I never was one for having a whole lot of patience little lone say waiting three years for a life changing event to take place.
Take care everyone and please keep up the chatter. It really is inspiring.

Shhhhhhhhhh..... don't yell.... it's pulling my staples. lol
Ok..... so I've been home almost a week.... will be a week tomorrow. I'm finally driving again as I'm not on my pain killers any longer. I just occasionally use tylenol when the pain is a bit much. I so want these 28 staples out that are "holding" me together on the front. I also want to be rid of my feeding tube (which is just a precautionary thing my surgeon has us come home with in case we can't eat). The staples and the tube are being removed this Monday morning at 9am! I am sooooo happy. The staples pull when I get in bed at night, they pull when I get out of bed in the morning too. I haven't been doing too much of anything since being home cause I tire out easily, but that's expected.
Food wise, I'm doing good. I'm able to get in ALL my protein and ALL my water every day. :-) YAY!!! I have no issues with my vitamins or calcium. I love the person who invented sugar free popsicles..... they make a nice snack when you wake up in the middle of the night feeling like garbage, plus they count toward your water intake. lol
Exercise wise, my hubby and have been doing a lot of walking. We have walked around at the mall, Walmart, Canadian Tire (where he works), and today we were at Superstore buying HIM groceries so he has food to eat.
I'm going to miss my hubby being at home as he returns to work on Monday. He took 2 weeks off to be with me during the start of my journey. My dad was also here for the first week as well, he drove down from Grande Prairie to be with us while I was in the hospital. And..... speaking of my dad..... I've talked to him every day since last Friday.
My face has THINNED out so amazingly. And I'm so thankful to my surgeon for giving me this tool to allow me to live, lose weight, and live a healthier life. I even told my surgeon thank you when he was discharging me.
Last week, I was so wishing that I hadn't had this surgery, but now that the pain is minimal and stuff.... that's a different story.
Oh.... and this past Monday was my birthday. lol I never wanted cake or anything. All I wanted was to suck on a piece of ham, but since I am allowed blenderized meats...... I had some reduced sodium flakes of ham zipped through the magic bullet with some horseradish mustard. That hit the spot nicely.
Sooooo.... that's my update in a nutshell.
*hugs*

Surgery --- DONE!!
Surgeon --- Dr. Nohr -
Congrats on making it to and through your surgery. If you don't mind I'd like ot ask which surgery you had done.
I'm in the weight wise program in Edmonton and I am soon seeing the surgeon but I am yet to know which surgery is the best for me. I do have about 100 pounds to loose and I need to loose it for my physical and mental weel being.
Any suggestions are very welcome.
Keelan.
