new and have lot of questions

well i am near the end of weight wise clinc waiting to see sugegon who is the doctor that prefroms the vsg and what do u do when u met the surgon? do the do test on u? how fast until u see the sergon till the surgery? oh i am from edmonton thanx i would love a responesw

Well I met with my surgeon (intern representing him actually) on Mar. 22.  They showed me the 3 options they offer and I asked all kinds of questions that I had.  I had basically already decided but I wanted to solidify my choice.  They don't test you right then, but they will set you up with whatever tests they feel necessary.  I had a repeat blood work, I am to go for a physical 2 weeks prior to surgery and I am going for a CT scan (which they book).  They will also book your next visit with the nut and nurse.  They will book you into two courses...one is Preparing for surgery (this must be done before surgery) and the other is Managing the Change (They told me that it can be taken up to 1 month post op)  The surgeon said that wait times are relatively short and that I should be called for surgery within 3 months from that appointment date.  He said that they would like to decrease my BMI a bit before surgery with a 3 week liquid diet but that they have operated on persons with high BMI's before.  He was very casual and easy to talk to.
