Anyone here in the Weight Wise program???
My dietititan is Carlene and I haven't seen her in the clinic since October. We've had 2 phone consults ( Nov & March) but due to a sceduling glitch, I haven't been able to see her for 6 months now. It's not holding my process back though, thankfully. I get to see her tomorrow and hoping she gives me the big OK to go ahead and see a surgeon.
Dr. Sharma and his team of 5 interns were a lil nerveracking when I first seen them in October. I was so nervous and didn't know if I was actually going to make it through the visit without passing out LOL Too many people sitting there watching me. Hopefully his entourage is smaller this time around as I to see him tomorrow as well.
I was journalling 1.5 months prior to my inital assessment at the clinic and from the beginning I didn't do anything gradually. I don't know what it was about the orientation ( Module 1) but a light bulb went off and when I went home I changed EVERYTHING about how my husband and I ate.
Mainly it was portion control for us and not enough fruits or veggies in our diet. After changing to a balanced diet- to date- him and I are down 115lbs combined. We still have diet pop, ice cream ( skinny cow), dinners out etc- but we know how to portion control and I will ask to have the plate taken away asap so I won't pick at the remaining LOL. Everyone will begin their journey a certain way and mine just went fast.
I have hit a plateau of sorts since February and Corey and Carlene have both suspected it was coming around the 250 mark for me. Its frustrating but it's just a part of the process. Just gotta keep on trucking until I see Carlene & we revamp my calories etc.
As for the Modules---- I have only done a few and was told that if I signed up for them & didn't get to go to them that is was ok. I liked the ones I have gone to and was registered for the rest when the flu broke out and they were all cancelled. This was such an inconveinince to me as my hubby had work off to take me to the city etc. I haven't booked back in for any and I don't plan on it. Craving Change is always full when I call. Maybe I'll be able to get the modules in on the backside of things.
My experience hasn't been too long. Everything started with a bang and I see the finish line in the distance. I'm ready to say g'bye to the people that have given me back my life and move on to say hello to the surgeons who are gonna fix me up LOL Ohhh i also see a boob job, tummy tuck, arm lift etc etc in the future too. Man I'm gonna need to tame my shopping habit down if I want to even think about those things in a couple yrs LOL
