It was crazy the first few months.  Did the level three sleep study... the blood gass test and the other one ... wheere they check your lungs. NO SLEEP APNIA FOR ME YEAH.. have my follow up woth sebastian beg of may.

just got accepted to the Emotional Eaters Group that meets on thurs nights.. .Looking forward to going to that.

It'll be a year for me in August. My RN has been ready to sign off on my chart for months due to my rapid weightloss and he's raring to get me to the surgeon. I have age and health on my side. I'm 31 with no medical conditons ( besides being overwight and having a gross BMI)
I see Dr. Sharma again on Tuesday and hopefully I get to see a surgeon within a month or so to get this process finished.
This program is amazing but I am extremeyl tired of the tests and the travelling as I live 3 hrs from Edmonton. Body scan, sleep apnea test, blood work, ecg, echo, ughhhh.....I just wanna get on with my life. LOL I'm not complaining though, just stating the obvious and it's the hoops we all have to go through.

Best of luck to everyone who's changing their lives one step at a time. We are worth it and can do this.

I have Lee as my nut.  I love him:)  We get along like peas in a pod.  I have heard others that don't care for him, but I like him:)
I have had so many RN's that I don't know their names.  My first I saw once and she quit.  Second was preggers and saw her twice before she moved, and the one I had last month said she was just casual and helping out so I don't think I will see her again.
I have not met Dr. Sharma or my surgeon.  I met a Dr. and an intern who was doing rounds for Dr. S that day and I met one of Dr. Birch's interns.  I hope that doesn't delay me any more than I already have been.  A year is long enough.  I am ready to do this.  I may have some buyers remorse, but that won't last.
BTW I am currently in the Craving Change module and it is great! If you can book in ASAP!

i have a mod comming up on friday .. i have 3 comming up actually..  i need to try toget off work for 2 of them..

i really like Lee too. Lee is the Dietician ... not the RN.. My RN is SUE. I like her too :)  I went  there expecting them to want to restrict what i am eating and expecting to have to weigh EVERYTHING and yadda yadda. They have been very umm.. gradual. i guess. first was eat breakfast.. then it was change my 2% milk to 1% milk... and no pop... now it is .... have THREE food groups in each meal.

Yup gradual! But its better than cold turkey. I went from a pack and a half of diet Pepsi to no pop at all gradually. It was hard but I have been pop free since September. Still crave but don't give in!
